Bjoern Ossenbrink and Mark Daws co-founded the Kamloops Velo Club (Kamloops Cycling Club) in 2025 to cultivate a vibrant cycling community in the Kamloops area. Their shared passion for cycling and the region's diverse terrain inspired them to create a club that welcomes riders of all levels, focusing on inclusivity and camaraderie. The club organizes no-drop group rides through scenic gravel roads and rolling landscapes fostering a supportive environment for cyclists to connect and explore together. 

Mark Daws, known for his involvement in the local cycling scene, as a racer and cycling amabassador, further promoting cycling culture in the community on all levels. 

Bjoern Ossenbrink is a distinguished professional coach and sport scientist. His has been significantly contributing to both the local cycling community in Kamloops and the broader realm of sports in BC. 

Through their efforts, Ossenbrink and Daws have transformed a mutual enthusiasm for cycling into a thriving club that encourages active lifestyles and strengthens community bonds in Kamloops. 

The club is lead by additional enthusiastic cyclists and commitees.
